روایت رنج: تبعیض ساختاری علیه اقلیت شیعه عربستان سعودی در استخدام و محل کار

چکیده

جامعه شیعی ساکن در عربستان سعودی، به واسطه شمار اندک نسبت به اکثریت اهل تسنن و نیز موقعیت غیرحاکم خود به ‌عنوان دو سنجه اصلی تشکیل گروه اقلیت به موجب موازین نظام بین‌المللی حقوق بشر، اقلیتی مذهبی به شمار می‌روند. در عربستان سعودی، مسلمانان شیعه همواره در استخدام و محل کار با تبعیض روبه‌رو هستند. آنها نمی‌توانند به برخی مشاغل دست پیدا کنند، انتخاب‌هایشان در ارتقای شغلی محدود است و از عمل به مناسک مذهبی خود منع می‌شوند. این تبعیض از رهگذر محرومیت آشکار و دسترسی‌نداشتن به مجاریِ مؤثر نمایندگان کارگری و حمایتی تسهیل می‌شود. به نظر می‌رسد شیعیان در عربستان با تبعیض ساختاری علیه خود روبه‌رو هستند که در استیلای اندیشه افراطی وهابی‌گری در این کشور ریشه دارد. این نوشتار، که آمیزه‌ای است از ترجمه و تحقیق، می‌کوشد زوایایی از تبعیض علیه اقلیت شیعه در عربستان سعودی را در مقوله استخدام و محل کار به نمایش بگذارد.
