One of the hadith scholars who has independently and comprehensively criticized this austerity is the famous Shiite hadith scholar, Shaykh Hurr al-'Amili. In the sixth part of the book Risalat al-Ithna Ashariyya fi al-Ridd 'ala al-Sufiyya, he mentions 12 important criticisms of this austerity. The position of the author, direct confrontation with Sufi etiquette, and innovation in expressing problems are among the features of the book in question, which is the importance of چله‌نشینی یکی از آداب مهم صوفیه است که سالک در چهل روز با انجام اعمال و عبادات خاص و کم‌کردن خواب و خوراک به عبادت و گوشه‌نشینی می‌پردازد. ازآنجاکه منشأ دینی این ریاضت محل تردید است، از سوی برخی از محدثان و عالمان قرار مورد انتقاد گرفته است. از جمله محدثانی که به طور مستقل و جامع به نقد این ریاضت می‌پردازد، محدث نامدار شیعی، شیخ حر عاملی است. وی در بخش ششم از کتاب رسالة اثناعشریه فی الرد علی الصوفیه، دوازده نقد مهم به این ریاضت وارد می‌کند. جایگاه نویسنده، تسلط وی به قرآن و احادیث شیعه، رویارویی مستقیم با آداب صوفیه و نوآوری در بیان اشکال‌ها از جمله ویژگی‌های کتاب حر عاملی است که اهمیت پرداختن به این موضوع از دیدگاه شیخ را دوچندان می‌کند. با وجود این، ازآنجاکه اشکال‌های شیخ حر به‌اجمال و بدون نظم منطقی و توضیح نظام‌مند ارائه گردیده است، در تحقیق حاضر به رفع این نواقص اهتمام ورزیده شده است. نگارنده با دقت در عبارات شیخ حر عاملی، شش نقد اساسی را به دست آورده است و با محور قراردادن دیدگاه نویسنده به توضیح، تحلیل بسط و در موادری نقد رویکرد موردنظر پرداخته است. از دیدگاه نویسنده، ریاضت چله‌نشینی مشروع نیست و با آیات قرآن، روایات اهل‌بیت (ع)، ضرورت دین و سیره ائمه در تعارض است؛ همچنین چله‌نشینی موجب بروز دوازده مفسده می‌شود. https://haftasman.urd.ac.ir/article_229780_0ca941b2a38e53adf2dd32fb7d8dffbf.pdf
