اَوَلوکیتِشوَره: بوداسَف فرزانگی و غم‌خوارگی

چکیده

مفهوم بوداسف از مفاهیم بسیار مهم در سنت مهایانه‌ای آیین بوداست. برخلاف سنت هینه‌یانه، که فقط یک بوداسف در آن به چشم می‌خورد، که آن هم بودای تاریخی (شاکیه‌مونی) است، در مهایانه، بوداسفان بی‌شماری وجود دارد که بوداسف اولوکیتشوره، با دو صفت برجسته پرَجنا (فرزانگی) و کَرونا (غم‌خوارگی) یکی از آنهاست. در واقع، همین مهربانی و دل‌سوزی بی‌نهایت در بوداسفان است که موجب می‌شود آنها بیش از آنکه در فکر حصول نیروانه خود باشند دغدغه خاطرشان، یاری رساندن به موجوداتی باشد که در بندِ گرفتاری‌اند. ظهور او، برای کمک به موجودات، در شکل‌های مختلفی از بوداها و بدهی‌ستوه‌ها و در قلمروهای مختلف است. محبوبیت بوداسف اولوکیتشوره و سرانجام کیش او، نه فقط در هند، بلکه در سراسر کشورهای آسیای شرقی، رواج یافت. تظاهرات متفاوت او در هنر نگارگری و تندیس‌سازی تابع تفاسیری است که از دو مفهوم اصلی فرزانگی و غم‌خوارگی در فرهنگ‌های مختلف شکل گرفته است. مقاله‌ای که پیش روست، درصدد معرفی این شخصیت، بوداسف اولوکیتشوره، است.
