In the beginning there was only water, which bore in itself the germ of life; and then an unformed clod of earth rose to the surface, where it floated about; but this state of undifferentiated unity came to a sudden end by the second stage of cosmogony. It started with the birth of the god Indra, outside the primeval world. The author of the present paper holds that the function of the myth of Indra is limited to the creation of the dualist world in which good and light are counterbalanced by evil and darkness. The article, then, deals with war between Asuras, the gods of the primordial world, and the Devas who are headed by Indra; this symbolizes the dualism which has entered into the world of the Vedic gods. The article finally points out the universal periods and the destruction of the universe.}, keywords = {Indra,Varuna,Vedic religion,Asura,Deva}, title_fa = {مفهوم اساسی دین ودایی}, abstract_fa = {نویسنده به دنبال آن است که اساس دین ودایی را توضیح دهد؛ او بهترین راه را برای این کار توجه به کیهان‌زایی دین ودایی می‌داند؛ بنابراین به اسطورة مبدأ جهان می‌پردازد: در آغاز فقط آب وجود داشت که حامل نطفة زندگی در خود بود بعد زمین به وجود آمد که در حالت نامتعین بود اما این حالت نامتعین چندان نپایید و با مرحلة دوم کیهان‌زایی به پایان رسید. این مرحله با تولد ایندره در بیرون از جهان نخستین آغاز شد. نویسنده کارکرد اسطوره‌ای ایندره را محدود به خلق جهان دوگانه می‌داند که در آن خیر و روشنایی در برابر شر و تاریکی قرار دارد. در ادامة مقاله به جنگ بین اسوره‌ها، خدایان جهان نخستین ودایی، و دِیوها به همراه سرکرده‌ای آنها، ایندره، می‌پردازد که تداعی‌کنندة دوگانگی راه یافته به جهان خدایان ودایی است. در پایان مقاله نیز از ادوار جهانی و نابودی جهان سخن می‌گوید.}, keywords_fa = {ایندره,ورونه,دین ودایی,اسوره,دیوه}, url = {https://haftasman.urd.ac.ir/article_68466.html}, eprint = {https://haftasman.urd.ac.ir/article_68466_0e4c61857c1a9d1ba9810636b5d8a4e1.pdf} }
