چکیده

دیداخۀ دوازده رسول از آثار مهم و معروف صدر مسیحیت است. مؤلف، مکان و زمان تألیف و یا حتی شکل اصلی کتاب نامشخص است و خود آن نیز تا قرن نوزدهم مفقود بوده است. اما دانشمندان توافق دارند که این اثر مقطعی مهم از تاریخ مسیحیت را بازتاب می­دهد – هنگامی که مسیحیت استقلالی نسبی یافت و مسیحیان یهودی‌الاصل که مخاطبان اصلی این اثر هستند با رفتار خاص خود در پی تمایز از محیط بت‌پرست یا یهودیشان بودند. متن امروزی دیداخه به چهار بخش تقسیم می‌شود. بخش نخست (فصول 1-6) در قالب تعالیمی اخلاقی دربارۀ دو راه زندگی و مرگ سخن می‌گوید. بخش دوم (فصول 7-10) دستورهایی پیرامون شیوۀ عبادت دارد. بخش سوم (فصول 11-13) پیرامون رسولان و انبیای کلیساست. بخش پایانی (فصل 16) به آخرالزمان و آمادگی برای بازگشت مسیح اختصاص دارد. این اثر برای نخستین بار از اصل یونانی به فارسی ترجمه می‌شود و مترجم در آغاز اطلاعاتی را پیرامون آن ارایه می‌دهد.
